Austins Finest 14U takes 3rd in 18U on November 7th and 8th. Our record was 5-2 for the tournament only losing to the 1st and 2nd place teams.
Congrats to Kristal on hitting her first home run at Huber! Great job Kristal.

Austins Finest takes 5th in Ronald McDonald

Austins Finest takes 5th in the 14U Ronald McDonald. We started off strong on Friday and Saturday going 5-0 beating College Station Tigers, Young Guns, Orange Crush, Texas Rattlers, and Storm Elite.
On Sunday we met two tough opponents and played strong games and could not come out with the victory. We lost to Texas Fusion and Storm Elite (Vaughn) both teams walked out 2nd and 3rd in the tournament. Great Job Austins Finest way to represent Central Texas.

Austins Finest Takes 2nd in San Marcos 18U

Austins Finest goes 4-2-1 in San Marcos this past weekend. Bats and girls started off slowly but picked it up later when it mattered.
First game we played the Stix and won 2-1, lost to Texas Sting 2-0 and tied Clash 0-0, then played the Lady Patriots and won 11-4.
Off to bracket we went and played the Scorpions in our first game and won 9-2, next game was Texas Stix we won 6-3, then we met again with Texas Sting and we scored 2 runs and up 2-0 and then we just made a few mental errors and let them back in the game and they ended beating us 6-2. Hats off to Texas Sting a very good group of girls! It was a great job by our girls and we took 2nd in the 18U division.

Austins Finest Takes 1st in San Marcos 18U

Austins Finest goes to San Marcos and plays up in 18U division. We went 3-1 in our pool games beating Platinum 16U, SWAT, ENVY JUST US and losing to Round Rock Crush 4-2.
Bracket came and we would meet the same teams in a single elimination bracket. We played SWAT first and won then we would meet up with Round Rock Crush who gave us our only loss of the tournament. It started off close but then our team bats came alive and were hot. We just stayed focused and came out with a strong victory. We then would meet up with Platinum 16U in the championship and our bats stayed in the groove and we won 4-1.
Our team went 6-1 for the weekend. Great job ladies, we outscored our opponnents 56-15 not bad for a bunch of 12, 13 and 14 year olds!

Well, we combined had one practice at went to work in a tournament. We played very good ball, still some communication things we need to fix but all in all for our first tournament together we did an outstanding job. We went 6-2. Great job ladies, pictures of the team to come soon.

Austins Finest 96 took 13th, and Austins Finest 97 takes 33rd

Austins Finest 96 takes 13th in the Colorado Sparkler this past year in their showcase.
Austins Finest 97 took 33rd in ASA 12U "A" Nationals in Bloomington Indiana.
Both teams represented well putting together winning records and now we hope they will take it to the next level when they come together.

Austins Finest both 96 and 97 have been very successful these past 2 years but have decided to come together in 14U. Our teams want to focus on competing at the best tournaments in the State. We want to make our team the best we think and we believe this is the best course of action.
Good luck ladies and let's continue to build and make Austins Finest a top organization.
PS... This is our oldest team and we look forward to gaining opportunities in some of the showcases in the State.

Austin's Finest 97 goes to Taylor and places 3rd out of 16 teams in 14U division. We played 8 games this weekend only giving up a total of 14 runs for the entire weekend. That is only an average of 1.75 points being allowed per game. Our record for the weekend was 6-1-1 and our only tie and loss came to the Texas Roadrunners who ended up winning the entire tournament. We continue to get good consistent hitting and defense is looking good. We have a busy month in May and hope to keep ourselves playing consistent and getting better every time we step on the field. Our loss was by a score of 4-2.

Austins Finest 97 will travel to Taylor this weekend playing up in the 14U division. We have a busy month ahead of us playing in 4-5 weeks in May. Two of the tournaments this month will be ASA qualifiers, so stay tuned to our website and we will keep everyone informed!
